Biertan, the Old Saxon City

70 km from Sibiu
Biertan was first mentioned in 1283. The fortified church is one of the most impressive Saxon peasant forts in Transilvania. In its present shape, the church was built in the first quarter of the 16th century. The fortifications are of an earlier date. The village is known also for its wines.

As live performances or as special recordings or archived videos, many theater performances have become accessible to audiences who have never set foot in theaters.  Today there are advertising regulations that prohibit many things that were allowed in the old days. Anyway, there were years when creatives (and car brands) could "argue" with each other through humorous advertisements. Those times were in 2007.
