A selection of the most popular destinations in Romania for foreign tourists includes, first, Bucharest. Recreation area in the old center of Bucharest, even if it is not up to date with the standards of modern tourism, attracts a large number of tourists. So is the new city center – People's House and Fountain Boulevard – is a tourist attraction for the novelty / strangeness of communist palace architecture. After Bucharest, the most popular destination is Prahova Valley and Fagaras.
