A selection of the most popular destinations in Romania for foreign tourists includes, first, Bucharest. Recreation area in the old center of Bucharest, even if it is not up to date with the standards of modern tourism, attracts a large number of tourists. So is the new city center – People's House and Fountain Boulevard – is a tourist attraction for the novelty / strangeness of communist palace architecture. Cultural objectives – museums, theaters, Gallery – they are visited as much by foreign tourists as by Romanian ones.
After Bucharest, the most popular destination is Prahova Valley and Fagaras. The old royal castles, Peles and Bran, next to the medieval fortresses from Râșnov, Brașov and Făgăraș are the main attractions in the center of the country.
