video> How money is made in different countries Full story> in USA Money creation involves several processes, depending on whether we’re talking about physical currency or digital money. Physical Money (Coins and Banknotes)Design and Engraving: Artists and engravers create detailed designs, including security features like watermarks and holograms. Printing and Minting: Special paper or polymer is used for banknotes, while coins are minted from metal. Advanced printing techniques ensure durability and security. Quality Control: Each note and coin is inspected to ensure it meets strict standards before being released into circulation. Central Banks: Central banks, like the Federal Reserve in the U.S., create money by purchasing government securities, which increases the reserves of commercial banks. Greece Ferry Boats You can travel with your own car from continental Europe to many of the Greek islands, starting with Crete and Santorini, which are some of the biggest tourist attractions. You can occasionally drive your own car to Rhodes using ferries from Athens, but this destination is more easily accessible via Turkey. Destinations for which the ferry is recommended: Crete - given the very large size of the island and the large number of tourist attractions spread throughout the island, your own car can provide you with excellent mobility. The main port of arrival on the island is Chania, and from here you can visit the main beaches in the north-west of the island, the archaeological area in the central area, the south with old Orthodox monasteries. Also, in the south you can choose to travel the distance between Agia Roumeli and Loutro by ferry (but you also have a road route as an alternative). Other important destinations with ferry access are the island of Santorini (possibl...
video: Largest abandoned cities in the world TOP 10 1. Bodie (United States of America, California) . It is probably the most famous ghost town (it even has a Facebook page). Shortly after it was built, the city reached a population of 10,000 inhabitants, in 1880, and was gradually abandoned due to numerous fires. 2. Hashima Island (Japan) . Between 1887 and 1974, the island represented a coal mine and at the same time the most populated place on earth, hosting over 13,000 people per square kilometer. The decline of the island occurred due to the discovery of another fuel that replaced coal, oil. The mine was closed and, overnight, the inhabitants left it to dry, leaving behind all their goods to rot. It is currently forbidden to approach the island, for safety reasons. 3. Pripyat (Ukraine) . Built in 1970 for employees of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the city of 50,000 inhabitants was abandoned after the 1986 explosion. 4. Sanzhi Bridge City (Taiwan). Located in northern ...
We, robot: the computer co-authoring a story with a human writer shutterstock. Shutterstock Leah Henrickson , Loughborough University In Isaac Asimov’s I, Robot, a collection of nine short stories about robotics, Asimov explores the possibilities of human-computer interaction. How can humans and computers co-exist? How can they work together to make a better world? A research group from the Meertens Instituut in Amsterdam and the Antwerp Centre for Digital Humanities and Literary Criticism recently introduced a new digital creative writing system. Using a graphical interface, an author drafts a text sentence by sentence. Then, the system proposes its own sentences to continue the story. The human and the computer work together to create what the system’s developers call “synthetic literature”. The paper detailing this project describes the text generation system as an attempt to: Create a stimulating envir...
Carew Castle, Wales South Wales; originally a Norman castle, Carew is one of the most magnificent castles of south Wales in the flat land around the tidal Carew river. The Castle was greatly improved and extended in the beginning of 16th century to Elizabethan manor. Was partly destroyed during the Civil War and finally abandoned in 1686. Next to the Castle there is the Carew Tidal Mill also from the 16th century, even though the present building dates from the early 19th century. The pandemic has expanded theater audiences through online broadcasts. As live performances or as special recordings or archived videos, many theater performances have become accessible to audiences who have never set foot in theaters. But the fact that they have become accessible does not mean that they have been accessed. The public reacted with great reservations to such initiatives. Theater audiences received them with reservations because "online is not the same thing as the thing itself" (a reaction of this type, not necessarily in these words). The artists, used to seeing the spectators, did not feel well either. The theaters, although they do not stay in the ticket money, tried to market the new product online. Very rarely were the performances made available to the public free of charge. Access charging creates great barriers not only because of the price, which was not high, but also because of the lack of habit in making such purchases and the lack of knowledge of ...
Art or trend? The manga phenomenon has been modernized and the authors of this Japanese drawing style, computerized or computer-assisted, enjoy a fame that beats that of all painters, all Nobel prize winners and poets, living or classic, in the world. The name Masashi Kishimito still doesn't mean much in Romania. Maybe we are not modern enough because here manga has not caught on or hasn't caught on yet. This is why Masashi is less known than Mircea Dinescu and his main work, the Naruto series, less well-known than "Left Wing". The central character of the series that is making waves all over the world is Naruto Uzumaki, a hyperactive teenager who always wants to prove his qualities to those around him. He is a young ninja whose goal is to be recognized as a community leader. An anime (cybernetized animation film) was also released on this manga series (static drawings published in specialized magazines). Here are excerpts:
