Drama theatre - online broadcast

The pandemic has expanded theater audiences through online broadcasts. As live performances or as special recordings or archived videos, many theater performances have become accessible to audiences who have never set foot in theaters. But the fact that they have become accessible does not mean that they have been accessed.

The public reacted with great reservations to such initiatives. Theater audiences received them with reservations because "online is not the same thing as the thing itself" (a reaction of this type, not necessarily in these words). The artists, used to seeing the spectators, did not feel well either. The theaters, although they do not stay in the ticket money, tried to market the new product online. Very rarely were the performances made available to the public free of charge. Access charging creates great barriers not only because of the price, which was not high, but also because of the lack of habit in making such purchases and the lack of knowledge of how such a purchase actually works.
