If we refer to the photographic image, there are currently many editing programs or even mobile phone applications through which anyone with access to the Internet or not, could experience retouching images, changing the resolution or reframing to suit the presented subject. But not so easily we can talk about editing video images. The computer currently offers many more opportunities for video editing compared to the mobile phone. That's why, when it comes to video editing, many of us choose to use the PC to edit these images.

Adobe Premiere is the basic program that is currently used to make cinematographic films . At first glance, the program presents an interface that is difficult to use, but the advantage comes depending on experimenting with it with the help of tutorials that can be found in a large number on YouTube. To work with this program you need an iron patience and many hours of experimental work with the editing tools that it offers, the result being, of course, one to measure.
Adobe Premiere is expensive software and requires a graphics workstation (recommended 8-16 GB RAM, advanced graphics card, one or more large displays).

Much easier to use, but quite well equipped with tools for cutting and pasting images, adding the desired sound or music, as well as a number of special effects or coloring the image is Windows Movie Maker . Accessible to any Windows owner, regardless of version. The interface of the program is easy to use, similar to many mobile video editing applications.

For mobile phones, the best video editing option remains iMovie . The downside is that the app is only available for iOS users, but Adobe Creative has taken this disadvantage into account and created an easy-to-use app, free for both Android and iOS users, called Adobe Clip . The application is very useful for cutting and pasting images, regardless of resolution and length, captured with your mobile phone. Moreover, you can edit the materials according to the desired exposure, color, light, you can add effects such as crossfade (passing between two frames by interpenetrating them similar to a transformation effect), fade in or fade out from black (closing the frames to black, or starting a frame from black). The application also has different colorization filters, starting from black and white to the maximum saturation of the image with contrasting shadows and highlights, taken from the current shooting standards of professional cinema cameras. All these colorizations are suitable for video images because their effect is not to transform reality and emphasize the color in the image.

Other mobile video editing apps are FilmoraGo , LumaFusion , Cinamaker , Videoshow , VideoFX Music Video Maker – more than 50 special effects that can be added to the image and Pixel Studio Animation Maker – for creating 2D animations.

There is no specific technique to follow when it comes to video editing, but it is learned as you experiment with the interfaces of these programs. The editing technique is subjective depending on each user of the program, it is learned through ambition but above all perseverance. How to use editing tools is the simplest stage of making a movie, their major importance is knowing when to use them or not.
